| HAND CARVED ANIMALS BY FZ |
All of my woodcarvings are done by hand only. I prefer to carve
the traditional way and not use motorized tools on my carvings.
Finished pieces are then hand sanded using from 80 to a 600 grit
sand paper, then burnished, (wood on wood). The Burnishing
brings the carvings to a furniture like smoothness.
My Cherry, Walnut, and Diamond Willow carvings are not stained.
These pieces are finished with Tongue Oil to preserve the natural
beauty of the wood.
I use wood stains only if the wood calls for it, such as with Oak or
Pine. These carvings are then sealed with varnish or lacquer.

"WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?"
These Dogs (6) are all hand carved (caricature types) .
Most of the dogs are carved from Buckeye, but one is
from Cherry.
The base is a very distinct pretty piece of Cedar wood.
The dogs and base are sanded then burnished to
close the pores in the wood.
The Buckeye dogs have been stained with various
colors, but the Cherry wood dog is natural wood.
The Dogs and the base are finished with several coats
of tongue oil, and it has a coat of paste wax to enhance
the over all look.
The one dogs tail stands about 7 inches high from
bottom of the base to the top of his tail.
The overall length is 12 inches.

" FISH AND DUCK KEY BOBBERS"
The Fish are carved from Walnut and the Ducks are
carved from Buckeye. The types of wood will vary.
They all have key chains so you can put a reasonable
amount of keys on them for when you go fishing.
They are sanded then burnished to close the pores
in the wood..
They are finished with tongue oil, and have a coat of
paste wax to enhance the over all look.
The Fish are between 4 and 5 inches long , and the
Ducks are between 3 and 4 long.
Check the buoyancy of the Fish/Duck with attached
keys in a bucket of water before you head out into
open waters.
Not responsible for lost keys.

has a base cut from cocabolla wood and is
sanded then burnished to close the pores in the
wood.

has a coat of paste wax to enhance the over all
look.
The piece stands about 5 inches high from
bottom of the base to the top of his ears.

"Heart Spoon"
This Spoon is hand carved out of Mahogany, with a
heart carved in the middle as you can see in the
picture.
The base is a chiseled and cut piece of Cherry.
The Spoon and base are sanded then burnished to

The Spoon and base are finished with tongue oil,
and have a coat of paste wax to enhance the over
all look.
The Spoon is about 11 inches long .
